Khajuraho East & South

The Hindu temples in Khajuraho, India, were built between 950 and 1050 CE by the Chandela kings. They are covered with exquisite sculptures. The eastern and southern temples have barely any of the erotic sculptures found in the western group, but I'm struck by the varied emotions the sculptors were able to convey in their creations.5 December 2014 |
